Software Quality Analyst

Duties and Responsibilities:

This full-time position is primarily a Software QA/QC role working with an integrated team of developers, product managers and support technicians. The primary objective for this roll will be to help drive the Software QA/QC process and execution. Issue tracking is done using an online tracking tool to help ensure that the Nanonation’s application solutions are ready for deployment and meet Nanonation standards as well as customer expectations.

The role involves reviewing new or modified application software and integrated systems; including documentation, diagrams, and application flows. Evaluation, analysis, and testing will be performed on all new or modified software applications/systems and software development procedures to verify that applications and systems function according to user requirements and conform to Nanonation guidelines.

This person will also assist in writing, revising, and verifying quality standards and procedures for program design and product evaluation to attain a quality of software economically and efficiently. Recommendations for program improvements and/or corrections will be communicated to the software engineering and technical management teams.

Aditional tasks include:

  • Assist in implementing Software QC standards and methods
  • Assist in developing and publishing Software QC plans and scenarios
  • Assist in executing Software QC plans including integration, system,
    and regression testing
  • Reporting of software defects and determination of resolution with developers
  • Produce technical notes documentation
  • Assist with creation of installation and user guides
  • Assists in establishing Software QA quantitative measurements and techniques for measuring software quality on and ways to decrease common questions and issues

Qualifications:

  • Practical understanding of Software QA concepts
  • Practical working knowledge of software QC methods
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Exceptional analytic and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • 3+ years experience in software QC and quality assurance
  • Experience designing and implementing Software QC test
    plans and scenarios a plus
  • Experience with Windows and Macintosh operating systems
