Software Quality Assurance Analyst

Duties and Responsibilities:

The primary objective for this roll will be to help drive the software quality process and execution to ensure high quality software. The role involves reviewing new or modified application software and integrated systems; including documentation, diagrams, and application flows. Evaluation, analysis, and testing will be performed on all new or modified software applications/systems and software development procedures to verify that applications and systems function according to user requirements and conform to Nanonation guidelines.

This position will write, develop and execute QA analytical test plans and test scenarios. Issue tracking is done using an online tracking tool to help ensure that the Nanonation's application solutions are ready for deployment and meet Nanonation standards as well as customer expectations. This position primarily works with an integrated team of developers, product managers and support technicians.

Additional tasks include:

  • Assist in implementing software quality control standards and methods
  • Assist in executing software quality control plans including integration, system, and regression testing
  • Reporting of software defects and determination of resolution with developers
  • Produce technical notes documentation
  • Assist with creation of installation and user guides
  • Assists in establishing Software QA quantitative measurements and techniques for measuring software quality

Qualifications:

  • Practical understanding of Software QA concepts
  • Practical working knowledge of software QC methods
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Exceptional analytic and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • 3+ years experience in software QC and quality assurance
  • Experience designing and implementing Software QC test
    plans and scenarios
  • Experience with Windows and Macintosh operating systems
  • Basic programming skills are desired
