College Football Tour Connection Booth

Throughout the college football season SBC and Nanonation have been entertaining fans around the U.S. as part of "SBC's College Football Connection" promotional tour. The 13-week traveling road show that begins each September introduces fans on college campuses around the U.S. to SBC's DSL and wireless service offerings. Fans can experience a series of interactive customer technologies and mobile displays that provide information and entertainment about SBC and its promotional partners.

To deliver the necessary event experience, Nanonation, a Nebraska-based software company, designed and developed the software platform and technology services for the traveling promotional tour. DSL Stations, Plasma Monitor Stations and Freedom Link Stations are three exciting ways in which SBC College Football Connection Tour is communicating its products and services to fans on game day.

The DSL stations, located in a converted semi-truck, consist of four laptop computers running kiosk software that features an easy-to-use interface that is localized for each game day event. Each unit provides consumers information on how to get SBC Yahoo! DSL, shows them college football highlight videos, gives them the ability to download Cingular ring tones, and the option to look up local eateries. Next to the DSL stations is a 42" plasma TV monitor that showcases SBC Yahoo! DSL high-speed Internet versus dial up. A third area within the venue is the Freedom Link Station that consists of laptop computers that showcase Freedom Link wireless service.
